Used as foam blowing agent in the production of closed cell rigid insulating foams. It is also used as degreasing solvent in semi-closed and closed degreasing systems. It finds also its use as heat exchange fluid in closed heat transfer systems.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.

Applications
Used as foam blowing agent in the production of closed cell rigid insulating foams. It is also used as degreasing solvent in semi-closed and closed degreasing systems. It finds also its use as heat exchange fluid in closed heat transfer systems.

Solubility
Soluble in water (1.7g/L at 21.2C). Miscible with most organic solvents.

Store in cool location. With adequate ventilation. Store away from oxidizing agent.
