Applications1-Boc-piperazine is useful for the preparation of (m-phenoxy)phenyl substituted piperazine derivatives. It is also used in the synthesis of indazole DNA gyrase inhibitors. Further, it plays an important role in the preparation of alfa,beta-poly(2-oxazoline) lipopolymers through living cationic ring opening polymerization. It is also in involved in Buchwald-Hartwig coupling reactions with aryl halides.
Solubility
Soluble in ethyl acetate, methanol and water.
Notes
Hygroscopic. Store in a cool place. Moisture sensitive. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
