This Thermo Scientific brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific.

Applications
The use of Cyclopiazonic acid on Langendorff-perfused murine hearts displayed anti-arrhythmic effects. Also, administration of cyclopiazonic acid on rat soleus muscle showed a decrease in hormone sensitive lipase activity and triacylglycerol hydrolysis. It is also used as an inhibitor of endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase.

Solubility
Soluble in DMSO (100 mM), ethanol (5 mM), DMF (∼20 mg/ml), and 1:1 DMSO:PBS(pH 7.2) (0.5 mg/ml). Insoluble in water.

Notes
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Recommended storage temperature: -20°C Keep in a dry place. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents.
