PA5-19746 targets gamma Synuclein in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The PA5-19746 immunogen is synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH derived from within residues 100 to the C-terminus of Human gamma Synuclein. PA5-19746 detects gamma Synuclein which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 15 kDa.
This gene encodes a member of the synuclein family of proteins which are believed to be involved in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Mutations in this gene have also been associated with breast tumor development.
