Supports cell proliferation under low serum conditions. R&D Systems ITS Media Supplement (100X) is a pre-optimized and serum-free media supplement that helps to maintain culture media consistency across passages and experiments.

  • Contains optimized concentrations of insulin, transferrin and selenite
  • Chemically-defined media decreases experimental variation
  • High lot-to-lot consistency decreases variation
  • Performance tested on multiple cell lines
  • QC-tested on multiple cell lines

Precautions

  • Transferrin was tested at the donor level using an FDA licensed method and found to be non-reactive for anti-HIV-1/2 and Hepatitis B surface antigen
  • As no testing can offer complete assurance of freedom from infectious reagents, these reagents should be handled as if capable of transmitting infection

Limitations

  • The safety and efficacy of the product in diagnostic or other clinical uses has not been established
  • The reagent should not be used beyond the expiration date indicated on the label
