• Meclofenamic acid is an inhibitor of arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase and prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase
• Meclofenamic acid prevents pyrogen release and inhibits wound granulation; it may also act as a neoplastic

• Meclofenamic acid can complex metals, making it of interest to drug delivery studies that target its toxic metal complexes to cancerous cell types
• It is suitable for laboratory research on pain, degeneration, wound healing, and tumor growth
