Thermo Scientific™ Pierce V-8 Protease Kit innehåller Staphylococcus aureus V-8 proteas immobiliserat på harts och tre uppslutningsbuffertar för specifik klyvning vid glutaminsyrarester eller klyvning vid glutaminsyra och asparaginsyrarester.

Har två pH-optima, en vid pH 4,0 och den andra vid pH 7,8 och är specifik för klyvning vid karboxiterminalen av glutaminsyra- och asparaginsyrarester. Proteaset är vidare specifikt för endast glutaminuppslutning i buffertar, som inte innehåller fosfat vid något av pH-optimum. Fosfatbuffertar vid pH 7,8 kommer att underlätta matsmältningen vid både glutaminsyra och asparaginsyrarester.
