Applications
Sodium hydride can be used for direct intercalation into C60, resulting in superconducting material (NaH)4C60. It is primarily used as a strong base in organic synthesis. It can be used to dry some organic solvents. It has been proposed for hydrogen storage for use in fuel cell vehicles.

Solubility
It reacts with water.

Notes
Air and moisture sensitive. Incompatible with oxidizing agents, acid chlorides, acids, halogens and alcohols.
