DescriptionApplications Reported: This eBio1-21 (1-21) antibody has been reported for use in intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting (WB), and immunohistology staining of paraffin embedded tissue sections. (Fluorochrome conjugated eBio1-21 (1-21) is recommended for use in intracellular flow cytometry.). Applications Tested: This eBio1-21 (1-21) antibody has been tested by western blot analysis of Daudi cell lysates and intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis of Daudi cells. For flow cytometry, this can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered. Overexpression of the TCL1 gene in humans has been implicated in the development of mature T cell leukemia, in which chromosomal rearrangements bring the TCL1 gene in close proximity to the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR)-alpha or TCR-beta regulatory elements (summarized by Virgilio et al., 1998). In normal T cells TCL1 is expressed in CD4-/CD8- cells, but not in cells at later stages of differentiation. TCL1 functions as a coactivator of the cell survival kinase AKT (Laine et al., 2000).
