Invitrogen™ Human IL-16 Recombinant Protein
Recombinant Protein
Brand: Invitrogen™ RP8609
Additional Details : Weight : 0.01000kg
Description
IL-16 (human) Recombinant Protein, RP-8609, from Invitrogen.
Interleukin 16 (IL-16) is produced primarily by CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and acts as a chemo-attractant for lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, dendritic cells and Langerhans cells. Additionally, IL-16 has been reported to upregulate IL-2 receptor (CD25), induce progression of cells to the G1 phase and suppress HIV & SIV replication. Recombinant human IL-16 is a non-glycosylated protein, containing130 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 13.5 kDa. Purity is typically greater than 95% and endotoxin level less than 1 EU/ug. The expected biological activity (ED50) is determined by the ability to chemoattract human T lymphocytes using a concentration range of 10-100 ng/mL. The specific activity of this protein is 1x10^5 units/mg. Reconstitute using sterile water at 0.1mg/mL and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX sample. Store reconstituted material at -20°C and add 0.1% BSA for additional stability.
