BD BBL™ Mueller Hinton II Agar, Cation-Adjusted
Recommended for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of common, rapidly growing bacteria. BD™ BBL™ Mueller Hinton II Agar is used in disc diffusion testing by the Bauer-Kirby agar diffusion method, as standardized by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI).
Brand: BD 211438
Additional Details : Weight : 0.53100kg
Mueller Hinton Agar was originally developed for the cultivation of pathogenic Neisseria. It is recommended for antimicrobial disc diffusion susceptibility testing of common, rapidly growing aerobic pathogens. Unsupplemented Mueller Hinton agar is not adequate for more fastidious organisms such as S. pneumonia.
- Tested according to, and meets the acceptance limits of, the current M6 protocol published by the CLSI.
- Complies with requirements of the World Health Organization and is specified in the FDA Bacteriological Analytical Manual for food testing.
- Manufactured to contain low levels of thymine and thymidine, with controlled levels of calcium and magnesium.
- Displays a cultural response to: Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.
