Description
OPTIZYME™ T4 DNA Pol is a template-dependent DNA polymerase that catalyzes 5'->3' synthesis from primed single-stranded DNA.
Applications and features:
- OPTIZYME T4 DNA Polymerase creates blunt DNA ends by filling in 5'-overhangs and/or removing 3'-overhangs
- Creation of blunt PCR products with 3'-dA overhangs
- Oligonucleotide-directed site-specific mutagenesis
- Synthesis of labeled DNA probes (by replacement reaction)
- Ligation-independent cloning of PCR products
- Active in buffers for OPTIZYME restriction enzymes, reverse transcriptases and T4 DNA ligase
- 3'->5' exonuclease activity
- Lacks 5'->3' exonuclease activity
