SDC4, also named as syndecan 4, is a cell surface proteoglycan that bears heparan sulfate, which is involved in normal wound healing. It has been reported that SDC4 may be associated with keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation in the epidermis. SDC4 also plays a key role in the angiogenesis and inflammation.
